Subway Coronavirus Precautions, Dinosaur DNA, and Twitter’s Fleets Feature | The Daily Show

The coronavirus. The disease is now officially in 85 countries, and it has over 95,000 confirmed cases. And it’s the reason even white people have switched to the fist bump. “And explode.” Now, here in New York, because the city is so crowded, the risk of coronavirus is especially dangerous. Because, you see, if corona can make it here, it can make it anywhere. (laughter) And that’s why city officials are taking action. NEWSWOMAN: The MTA stepping up its cleaning efforts to prevent the spread of the coronavirus on public transit. Station Focus | University of Washington (Sound Transit, King County Metro) [CC]

Hey guys, welcome back to the channel! Today, as the second station focus video on the Seattle Link Light Rail system, we’ll be taking a look at University of Washington station, the northern terminus of the line that serves the university of the same name. The size of the station is similar to other interchange stations and the downtown stations on the line, having a bigger structure than an at grade station like Rainier Beach that we visited last time, and being the terminus of the line at an important transit center means that it is also well connected in terms of surface routes. Let’s hop on a link train,…

We’ve previously checked out the construction progress at both Kennedy station and Mount Dennis station, so this video will focus more on the actual tracks of the light rail route that are getting installed along Eglinton avenue, as well as the stations on the line. Come along and take a look with us! [music] We’re here at Kennedy station, the eastern terminus of the…

I Let Twitter Make My Decisions In NYC

    – I’m in New York City, beautiful New York City! And today I’m letting Twitter run my day. But first things first, I have to get a bagel. Come on, post office, don’t do that. (upbeat electronic music) New York City, the Big Apple. And you know, I’ve actually been to New York a few times, but I don’t do a lot of exploring. I’ve always been here for work. So I’m having Twitter make all my decisions and, hopefully, I’ll learn more about New York. First things first, though, where should I get bagels? So I asked Twitter where I should get bagels. They said Tompkins Bagels. So I’m…

Station Focus | Highway 407 (TTC, GO, YRT) [CC]

Hey guys, welcome back to the channel! Today, we’re visiting our second station on the Vaughan Subway Extension, Highway 407. This station is one of only two stations, along with Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, that are outside of Toronto proper, as it is located north of the Jane and Steeles intersection just south of Highway 407, the station’s namesake. Similar to Pioneer Village, the station we visited before, Highway 407 is gigantic and modern, and features interesting artwork and design choices, and is probably the single largest building for any station in the TTC. Despite its size, however, this is one of the lesser-used stations on the extension and even in…

Hey guys, welcome back to the channel! Today, we are heading to the west end of Toronto, and we’re going to pay a visit to Dundas West station of the TTC, as well as its neighbour, Bloor GO station. With subways, regional rail, streetcars, and local buses all serving these two connected stations, Dundas West and Bloor are fast becoming one of the most significant transit hubs of Toronto besides Union station, serving around 30,000 customers daily combined. Let’s go check it out! Thanks to Rob Neil and Philippe for becoming our newest patrons. We really appreciate your support. For a somewhat surprising move, we’re actually going to first check…

Which Store Makes The Best Custom Sandwich?

(suspenseful music) (fly buzzes) (flashlight clicks on) (glass bottle clinks) – Mr Kornfeld. – Leave me alone. – Who makes the best custom sandwich? (music intensifies) – What’s up party people? Welcome back to Candid Competition! We’ve decided to challenge five fast food sandwich chains to find out who makes the best custom sammy. The catch? They don’t know they’re competing. They don’t even know they’re in this video. We’re just gonna roll up to five different sammo spots, ask them to recreate my face using the ingredients of their choice. I’m wondering if you would be able to make an open-faced sandwich, and you would just be making my…
